1. KIDDIE TECH - LEGO ROBOTICS (Grades K-1)

Our lego robotics class provides our beginner students with a great transition from traditional play with lego bricks. Each week students learn to build, animate and program their lego robots. The curriculum themes are: 1. Amazing Mechanisms (Physical Science Focus); 2. Wild Animals (Technology Focus); 3. Play Soccer (Mathematics Focus); 4. Adventure Stories (Language Focus).

2. KIDDIE TECH - TECHNOLOGY EXPLORERS (GRADES K-1) 

Our technology explorers program introduces students to a new technology every two weeks. Students will work on 5 different projects based on the following curriculum themes: 1. Lego Robotics (Engineering); 2. Little Bits (Electronic Circuits); 3. Stop Motion Animation (Digital Design); 4. Game Design; 5. Coding for Kids

3. Math Adventures with Minecraft (GRADES 2-6)

Students will work together on the same server in creative mode to design and create a replica of a physical environment on earth, New York State/Long Island region, ancient civilization, or in space. Each week students will be presented with a different challenge which will require the application of various math skills and logical thinking skills.

4. Math Adventures through Game Design (GRADES 3-12) 

This is part one of a year long course in Game Design. Students will learn how to use various game design tools to construct their own games. We engage students with age appropriate tools to help them understand the various elements of a game. We transition students from playing games to making their own games. While learning to make games students learn to apply mathematics concepts such as coordinate geometry, randomization, and time to their designs. In order to teach kids how to make game, coding is required. We teach kids how to code using several visual programming tools. As students progress through our courses and curriculum we begin to introduce them to more traditional computer programing/coding tools and languages. Our goal for all students is to help them unleash their creativity by helping them to think about a game idea and guiding them through the entire design process to bring their game to life.

5. MATH ADVENTURES THROUGH CODING WITH PYTHON & MINECRAFT (GRADES 5-12)

This is part one of a year long course. Part one is 10 weeks in the Fall semester, and part two is 10 weeks in the Spring semester.

Each week students are presented with a new computer science and mathematics skill and challenge. Some homework may be required. The curriculum is intended to combine fundamental concepts in computer science and mathematics, while engaging students in using these skills to create Minecraft modifications (MODS).   This course is intended for middle & high school students.

6. SCIENCE ADVENTURES THROUGH ROBOTICS (GRADES 2-12)

Using the Lego Education curriculum, we introduce students to robotics with the theme – traveling to and living on Mars! (Upper Elementary thru Middle School)
